How strong should a cabinet catch be?
More pull strength is not automatically better. An overly strong catch can make a small door unpleasant to open, pull on lightweight hinges and encourage users to tug at the edge of the door. Too little strength leaves the door prone to opening when the cabinet is moved or when air pressure changes nearby.
Choose holding force according to door weight, size and use. Small timber doors generally need a light to medium hold. Larger doors, doors carrying racks or storage on the inside, and cabinets in vans, workshops or busy commercial spaces may need a stronger magnetic solution.

Getting the fitting position right
